Our School Reward Program: Celebrating Excellence in Local Education
At Big Red, we believe that recognising achievement is one of the most powerful ways to inspire continued excellence. That’s why we were so proud to host our 2025 School Incentive Reward Programme – a special initiative designed to honour outstanding young pupils from our local community.
A VIP Experience to Remember
After six months of careful planning and collaboration with local schools, we were thrilled to welcome 70 exceptional children – each accompanied by a parent – for an unforgettable VIP experience at Grimsby Town Football Club. The event was a celebration of their exemplary behaviour and outstanding school attendance.
It was a joy to see the excitement on their faces as they arrived. Each child enjoyed a delicious buffet, received a special ticket voucher, and had the unique opportunity to meet Grimsby Town players – and, of course, our beloved Big Red Bear! The energy, smiles, and sheer enthusiasm made it a truly magical evening.
Recognising What Truly Matters
In a fast-moving world, it’s easy to overlook the simple but vital values of consistency, respect, and effort. Our reward programme aimed to shine a spotlight on exactly these traits – the qualities that lay the foundation for success not only in school, but throughout life.
By working closely with our partner schools to identify pupils who consistently embody these values, we sent a clear and powerful message: your efforts matter, and your commitment is seen and appreciated.
Bridging Business and Education
This event wasn’t just a day out – it was a symbol of what can be achieved when local businesses, schools, and sports organisations come together with a shared purpose. By partnering with Grimsby Town FC and local educators, we helped create an experience that celebrated community spirit and possibility.
For many of the children, it was their first time visiting the football ground or meeting local sports heroes – moments that may spark long-lasting memories, new passions, and a sense of connection with their community.
The Reward of Giving Back
While the day was designed to reward the children, it was also incredibly meaningful for us. The Big Red team poured heart and soul into bringing the event to life – from designing the invitations to coordinating logistics with the football club and ensuring every detail was just right.
Seeing the smiles, laughter, and pride on the faces of these young people was the greatest reward of all. As a family-owned business deeply rooted in the local area, being able to give back in such a meaningful way was an experience we’ll never forget.
Looking Ahead
With the event now complete, we’re already thinking about the future. Our hope is that the School Incentive Reward Programme becomes a cherished annual tradition – one that grows, evolves, and continues to highlight the values that help young people succeed.
